Jack Reacher

Compiled By: Waleed Mateen

Based on the novel by Lee Child, this on screen entertainment with Tom Cruise in the lead role is an action junkie's dream. Reacher is a former U.S. Military police officer who is forced to look into a case after a series of unfortunate events including the killing of five random people by a U.S. Army sniper James Barr (Joseph Sikora).

However Reacher's renowned crime investigation skills are known by the concerning groups who try to get him to drop the case which leads to a bar fight and murder of a young woman which only motivates him futher to get to the bottom of the investigation.

Reacher can't do this alone so is aided by a former U.S. Marine Gunnery Sergeant Cash (Robert Duvall) who will only help him if he can impress Cash with his sniping skills, which isn't a problem for Reacher.

The D.A's daughter and the counsellor on Barr's case Hellen Rodin (Rosamund Pike) gets into trouble by the gang of Russians who disguise themselves as businessmen and keep her hostage in a construction building which Reacher infiltrates but when things go awry, he flees the crime scene and is termed a fugitive, only to be cleared by the end of the film.

Arnold Schwarzenegger a.k.a. the Commando is back with more action packed entertainment. Some may think he hasn't got it any more but this old dog is loaded with surprises as this is a lead role for him since the third parr of Terminator in 2003.

Schwarzenegger plays Sheriff Ray Owens, who protects and serves a small Arizona town on the U.S. side of the southern border. Ray's gig gets interrupted when an escaped Mexican drug kingpin makes a beeline for his Arizona turf. Ray doesn't have the manpower to fight the criminal's small army, so he deputizes a guy cooling his heels in the town jail as well as a lovable gun nut (Johnny Knoxville) to even the odds.

The film also plays up Ray's heroism, his unwillingness to take bribes and the honor he summons to defend his town despite the odds. That old-fashioned decency plays beautifully throughout the film, even when the story staggers in trying to juggle a few underwhelming subplots.

Jamie Foxx's new movie with Christopher Waltz is based on a survival of an African American Django (Jamie Foxx) who's trying to live out his remaining days in the scorching heat of the West. While being escorted to a new slave owner, he's is found by Dr. Schultz (Christoph Waltz), a dentist who earns his living by working as a bounty hunter. Dr. Schultz lets Django go only if he is willing to help him on his journey to find Django's previous owners and kill them to claim the prize set by the government.

After helping Dr. Schultz, Django is delighted to be his partner for the winter and they both earn a fortune by collecting bounties  until the day Django decides to free his wife from a brutal Mississippi plantation owner mister Candy (Leonardo DiCaprio), who would not just give up a slave worth $300 only. He is lured by an offer of $12000 by Django and Dr. Schultz for another slave fighter.

Soon mister Calvin Candy is onto them for lying and makes a deal of $12000 for Django's wife which is a defeat for Dr. Schultz which is why the deal goes sour because of which Django and his wife are torn apart once again. However, this time he has a new playbook taught by Dr. Schultz  because of which Django unites with his wife in the end.
